2021 World Hospital Congress to be held at Fira Barcelona Montjuïc

The 44th IHF World Hospital Congress will take place at the Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, one of Europe’s most prestigious convention spaces and trade-fair hubs.
Since its conception in 1929, Fira Montjuïc has been a reputed events center and notable venue for premier exhibitions, trade fairs and seminars in Spain. Each year, it hosts at least 150 venue fairs, congresses, high-profile social and cultural events.
Fira Montjuïc gives visitors and tourists a taste of age-old, sophisticated infrastructure with state of the art facilities in hosting large scale events. It houses the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona convention center, a renowned venue which contains a large auditorium that can accommodate 1,600 people, has eleven conference rooms and with an exhibition area of 1500sqm.
Located in the city center specifically Montjuïc Park, Fira Montjuïc allows exhibitors, visitors, and tourists to have a taste of Barcelona’s history and scenic tourist destinations. The venue is adjacent to a number of museums, theaters, hotels, restaurants and popular tourist spots.
The main entrance to Montjuïc adjoins Placa d’ Espanya where the two venetian towers give a picturesque backdrop for visitors, lined up by six (6) pavilions in Avinguda dela Reina that leads to Mount Montjuïc. Other architectural sights surrounding Montjuïc are Barcelona Magic Fountain, Palau Nacional, Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium and Miro Foundation.
For a tourist destination such as Fira Montjuïc, it is very significant to note that there are many four- and five-star hotels within walking distance as well as fifteen (15) restaurants that showcase Spanish cuisine. Escairon, Pacificio y Sur, Casa de Tapes Canota, Bodega Monumental and Oleum are some of the restaurants to visit for signature tapas.
Fira Barcelona Montjuïc’s location provides easy access and fast transportation to visitors. It is easily accessible from the El Prat International Airport, well-connected to the public transportation network and there are 1,500 parking spaces along Carrer Lleida and Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina.
