4th WHC Podcast: Humanizing technology for smart healthcare delivery

20 September 2021

For the 4th episode of the WHC podcast series we have invited Richard Stubbs, CEO of Yorkshire & Humber AHSN, and Dr. Anne Snowdon, Chief Scientific Research Officer for HIMSS, to sit-down and discuss how healthcare systems and services have fundamentally changed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and how digitally enabled healthcare is now a mainstay of many hospital services around the world. Dr. Anne also highlights the importance of personalized care while using and leveraging digital tools to help the citizens.

To learn more about this topic, you may join Dr. Anne and Richard in the upcoming 44th World Hospital Congress on 8-11 November in Barcelona. They will be speaking in the session “ Humanizing technology for smart healthcare delivery: The COVID-19 impact”. The session will focus on dispelling many of the misbeliefs around technology-enabled healthcare, with many patients traditionally citing it negatively impacts the patient experience and delivers a non-personable transactional relationship with healthcare professionals and healthcare services. The session will also demonstrate how technology-enabled healthcare actually has huge potential to better humanize healthcare and deliver a more personable and dedicated patient experience.
