IHF Partners' workshop: In 2030, hospitals will be sustainable. How do we get there?
Deep-dive into the essential elements that will support the healthcare sector’s transformation – enabling hospitals to be fit for the future, and to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. A successful transition requires a collective process, where all stakeholders will co-create the path to follow and will learn from each other. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to actively engage in roundtable discussions led by key IHF Partners.
Planning and designing sustainable and resilient healthcare systems
Health leaders must become climate leaders to address the contemporary challenges placed on healthcare delivery and healthcare institutions. By transitioning to low-carbon, resilient, sustainable healthcare we can ensure the best quality of care for patients, build capacity in our communities, and reduce our impact on the environment. Join climate leaders from Spain, India, UK and Colombia as they take you through their sustainability journeys and the opportunities for hospitals to create healthy environments for improved health outcomes for everyone, everywhere.
Lighter carbon footprint: Interventions with impact
Across the IHF community, health leaders are stepping up for carbon reduction. Hear from IHF members from the USA, Spain, Taiwan, UAE, and UK on specific initiatives generating impactful change and paving the way toward low-carbon, resilient, and sustainable care. From introducing reusables, characteristics of green hospitals, sustainable laboratories, and innovative financing models supporting decarbonization, learn how hospitals can lead the way in decarbonizing healthcare.
Navigating Net-Zero: Essential leadership for today and tomorrow
Presented by expert faculty from the Geneva Sustainability Centre, the Navigating Net-Zero masterclass presents the key information and tools for healthcare leaders to assess, plan, and address sustainability in an engaging workshop environment. Participants also benefit from access to the Carbon Emissions Learning Lab (CELL) – a simulation tool, powered by real-world data, to develop the skills to make informed decisions and assess their impact on reducing the environmental footprint of your organization.
Navigating Net-Zero will be delivered in Portuguese on 23 October and in English on 24 October as part of the pre-congress programme.
