The IHF Awards are Getting Bigger: Two New Categories and a New Partner Onboard
10 March 2020
Geneva, Switzerland – The IHF Awards continue to raise the bar since its foundation six years ago, recognizing hospitals and healthcare organizations around the world for their outstanding achievements and best practices in healthcare. Each year, winning projects inspire the global healthcare community and bring pride not only for their hospitals but also for their countries.
The 2020 edition of the IHF Awards is bigger and better with the addition of two new categories:
- IHF/ Ashikaga-Nikken Excellence in Green Hospitals – honoring hospitals and healthcare organizations promoting sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives.
- IHF/ Sultanate of Oman Excellence Award for Health Services in Crisis – recognizing the achievements of hospitals and healthcare organizations in developing countries and war-torn or disaster-ravaged nations. Apart from prizes similar to other Excellence Awards, the winning organization will receive a 10,000 CHF grant in addition to the travel and accommodation stipend.
This year also features the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as the new partner for the IHF Excellence Award for Leadership & Management.
IHF Awards Founder, Dr. Kwang Tae Kim says the vision of the Award has remained unchanged- to honor and inspire healthcare excellence globally- although the Awards program has grown in leaps.
Dr. Lawrence Lai, Awards Committee Chair said, “The introduction of the two new categories gives opportunities for more hospitals worthy of recognition to compete for honors, especially for those which have been investing in sustainable programs and delivering outstanding healthcare services despite their unfavorable situation.”
Submission to the prestigious IHF/Dr. Kwang Tae Kim Grand Award remains exclusive for IHF members. However, submission to the IHF Excellence Awards is free and open to all hospitals and healthcare organizations around the world.
The IHF Awards 2020 will open for entries on 16th March.
